One retailer prices HUUM 19% below the line everyone else holds

On 49 Harvia and HUUM products, every US retailer but one lists an identical price — and Select Saunas sits below it by a consistent 19% on HUUM and 16% on Harvia.

Harvia and HUUM are the two brands where minimum advertised pricing is most visible in US sauna retail. Line up the part numbers across seven retailers and you see it directly: on hundreds of products, three or four stores list exactly the same number to the dollar.

On 49 of those products, one retailer does not.

The pattern

We looked for products carried by three or more retailers where every retailer but one is at an identical price, and one sits below. That is a specific signature — it separates a held price line with a single defector from ordinary price scatter.

It happens 58 times across the catalog. Select Saunas is the low one in 49 of them — every other retailer combined accounts for the remaining nine.

What makes it look like policy rather than a set of individual decisions is how regular the discount is. On HUUM products the gap clusters hard at 19% below the held line; on Harvia it clusters at 16%.

Thirteen products sit within half a percentage point of 19%, and every one of them is HUUM. Another thirteen sit at 16%, and every one of those is Harvia. Two clean clusters, one rate per brand, is what a flat dealer discount applied to a price list looks like — not what a merchandiser pricing items one at a time produces.

Where it applies, and where it does not

This is mostly an accessories and components story, and that is worth being clear about because it is where the finding is useful and where it is not.

The 49 products are controls, chimney kits, water heaters, protective bedding, stone cages, mounting collars and stoves. They are the things you buy alongside a heater, individually, often after the cabin is already installed — and individually they are $300 to $2,900 items where a fifth off is real money.

On complete cabins and on the headline heaters, the line generally holds everywhere, including at Select Saunas. The Harvia Cilindro 6 kW is $1,181 at all six retailers that carry it, Select Saunas included.

So the practical rule is narrow and worth knowing: when you are buying HUUM or Harvia parts rather than the main unit, check Select Saunas first. On the main unit, it will usually be the same price as everywhere else.

Two caveats

A discount this consistent is a live commercial position, not a permanent feature of the market. Dealer terms change, and brands do enforce advertised pricing — the whole reason the other retailers sit at an identical number is that somebody is asking them to. If this pattern disappears, it will disappear quickly.

And these remain advertised prices, excluding freight, captured on 29 July 2026. A retailer at the held price may well match a lower one if you call. We refresh these prices regularly; more on our methodology, including how we make money.
