The Harvia Cilindro costs the same at six retailers — until you size up
The 6 kW Cilindro is $1,181 at every US retailer that carries it. The 8 kW and 9 kW are not, and one retailer charges $307 more for the same part number.

The Harvia Cilindro Half is the heater people land on when they want a Finnish pillar heater without the Cilindro's full-height price. It comes in 6, 8 and 9 kW, the three versions look identical on a spec sheet, and the usual advice applies: shop around.
For the 6 kW, that advice is a waste of an afternoon. For the 9 kW, it is worth $307.
The same heater, six retailers, three different stories
We matched these on Harvia's own part numbers across every US retailer that publishes a product catalog. Same SKU means the same physical unit, not a similar one.
| Model | Part number | Retailers | Low | High | Spread |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cilindro PC60E, 6 kW | HPCS6U1H | 6 | $1,181 | $1,181 | $0 |
| Cilindro PC80E, 8 kW | HPCS8U1H | 6 | $1,270 | $1,519 | $249 |
| Cilindro PC90E, 9 kW | HPCS9U1H | 6 | $1,318 | $1,625 | $307 |
The 6 kW is priced at $1,181 by all six retailers. Not approximately — exactly, to the dollar, at every single one. That is minimum advertised pricing working as intended, and it means the only things left to choose on are freight, returns and who picks up the phone.
Move one size up and it stops holding.
It is one retailer, not a spread
The interesting part is the shape of the gap. On the 8 kW, five of the six retailers are at $1,270. On the 9 kW, four are at $1,318 and a fifth is at $1,319 — a dollar out, which is rounding, not competition.
In both cases a single retailer sits well above the line: SaunaKits, at $1,519 on the 8 kW and $1,625 on the 9 kW. That is 19.6% and 23.3% above what everyone else asks for the same part number.
So this is not a market where prices vary. It is a market where one price is held by nearly everyone and one retailer is charging more, on two SKUs out of three, while matching the line exactly on the third.
What to do
On the 6 kW, buy from whoever you like. The price is the price.
Not a paid link — we earn nothing if you buy through it.
Harvia Cilindro PC60E, 6 kW — $1,181 at Select Saunas
On the 8 kW and 9 kW, the only thing you need to avoid is overpaying by roughly 20% for no reason. Four retailers are at the low price on both.

Harvia Cilindro PC90E, 9 kW — $1,318 at Select Saunas
One note on sizing, because it matters more than the $307. Sauna heaters are matched to cabin volume at roughly 1 kW per 45 cubic feet. Buying the 9 kW for a cabin that calls for 6 kW is not headroom, it is a heater that overshoots its thermostat and costs more to run. Size the heater to the room, then find the best price on that heater — not the other way round.
What these numbers are and are not
Prices are as listed on 29 July 2026 and exclude freight, which on a heater is modest but not zero and varies by destination. They are advertised prices: a retailer holding the line publicly may still move on it in a cart or over the phone, particularly on a package. And they move — we refresh these prices regularly, and a sale at any one of these six would change the answer.
We read each retailer's own published catalog and match items on the manufacturer's part number, so the comparison is between genuinely identical units rather than similar-sounding listings. There is more on our methodology, including how we make money.
